Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. I saw all kinds of possiblities for wedding favors for bridesmaids and wedding guests on the Internet. But the hard part was picking out which was the best to buy. I found some bargains on thank you presents, too. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. I saved a ton on that. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. The choices for what to get my bridesmaids were so many that I finally just went back to planning the rest of the wedding because my head was spinning. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. The newly weds were my ultimate choice, but I checked out a lot of options, and I nearly settled on one with crystals and initials written in silver. Now, I had everything but the gifts for my girls, so I had to make a final decision. I did go with jewelry gift boxes for each of them, and also bought a piece of unique wedding jewelry to put inside. I chose a beautiful rhinestone bracelet for all of them. It may sound like that was a bit extravagant, but it wasn’t. The volume of options in discount wedding jewelry was so great, and so good, that I got them some of that and saved a little cash in the process. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. There are some really exquisite pieces to choose from, and less costly than you may imagine. The women in our wedding were elated with what I got them, and the men seemed pretty content with their thank you presents, too.
The wedding day was everything that I had fantasized it could be. My groom’s brother caught the garter, and my sister, who’s also not dating anyone, managed to grab the bouquet. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. You never know!
